Frequently Asked Questions
My particular art form isn't mentioned on the back cover.
Will this book help me with my art?
This book is not based on anything specific to any particular art. It is based on the principles for success in the arts--any and all of the arts.
Won't I just learn these things along with my art training?
No artistic training of my acquaintance deals with many--if any--of the principles dealt with in Success in the Arts.
Even if I don't learn these things in school, won't I pick them up once I'm in the field?
The real question is: Will you last long enough in the field to learn these things? Thousands of aspiring artists wash out of each of the professions every year because they don't know the things dealt with in this book.
My teachers say I'm very talented.
Isn't that the most important thing for success in the arts?
There's a great deal more to succeeding in the arts than having talent. Sometimes outrageously talented people wash out of each of the arts because they never learned the other principles for success in the arts. Don't go onto the game field if you don't know all the rules.
